As we begin the second year of publication of The Valiant, we wish to express heart-felt gratitude to Sharlene McFarland and Marlee Green for their expertise in typing and formatting this paper, and to their boss, Lt. George Van De Water for taking care of the printing of each issue. Also, we are proud to note, Sharlene is a descendant of Matthew Caldwell of the Battalion.
