The National Ladies Auxiliary of the U.S. Mormon Battalion was organized 37 years ago. Since then, many women have worked with great dedication to keep the Auxiliary moving forward in a positive and up-lifting direction. May we continue to exhibit this same loyalty and devotion as we begin this new year with new goals to be realized and a fresh start. This is a year to celebrate Utah's Sesquicentennial as well as California's. Our pioneer ancestors came into the Salt Lake Valley and through struggle, toil, hardships, and sacrifices they made the Valley "blossom like a rose." Many celebrations will be held this year to commemorate their arrival. Please make an effort to be a pan of these events led! I am sure that each of us will be richly compensated if we do so. Come out, and participate with us!
We are delighted to welcome two new company Auxiliary presidents: Laura Randall of Co. "A" San Diego; and Mary Smith of Mesa, AZ, company. May we support and be blessed by their leadership. Also, I thank each of you who have accepted positions in the Auxiliary, and a special thanks to ALL members for giving the needed support to successfully carry out our varied programs. May YOU enjoy this wonderful, exciting year ahead!
