President's Presentation --Pres. Shirley Maynes

So far this year, the Sesquicentennial events have been colossal! spectacular ! heartwarming! and, to say the least, unforgettable memories! The Mormon Trail Wagon Train re-enactment was an event exciting to read about on a daily basis. The faith, fortitude, and ingenuity of these modern-day pioneers proved to the world that "Faith in Every Footstep" is a reality. The Days of '47 Parade was one of the best ever! Congratulations to the Color Guard! With many more special events yet to come this year, I suggest that we all participate in as many as possible, for we will never see another year like this one! I hope everyone who attended Mormon Day at Brighton enjoyed it. The committee worked very hard to make this a memorial occasion, worthy of the Sesquicentennial theme. Thanks to all who attended and who were a part of this special day!

"We'll sing of their courage, their faith, their endurance. Our voices we' 11 raise to the blue arching sky. Our hearts swell with gladness; we honor their memory. We love them the more with each year passing by. "--from "Ode to the Pioneers" by Annie Malin.
