In keeping with the times, the National Staff announces the formation of a Web page.
Its purpose will be to achieve several things, viz. to spread our "message" more
quickly and to a wider audience; to let the world know what our purposes are; to gather
information about the original Battalion (histories, anecdotes, descendants, etc.) and
disseminate it to interested people; to attract new members and strengthen present ones;
and to become a part of the information-seeking populace. It's the thing to do! There is a
cost factor involved, which the National Staff feels justified in assuming in your behalf.
Of course, a company could conceivably have its own Web page, but remember: You should
receive permission from the National Staff before starting your application. We don't need
to duplicate our efforts! Also, our organization name is an official entity and cannot be
used by ANYONE without our permission. Lt. Bob Cole (Daniel Tyler's descendant) will chair
the committee to collect material for the Web page. Any suggested material should be sent
to headquarters, where it will be cleared with the National Staff before it is put on the
Internet. We invite all members to participate by sending material (or suggestions for),
and by accessing the page on your own computer. We are excited! To correspond with Lt.
Cole via the Internet: <xxx> --To be continued next issue.
