As we start a new year, I cherish the thought of Van Dyke to know that I, along with you, have been brought to the place where the blessed are. I thank our valiant pioneer ancestors who withstood those great difficulties and tribulations which they experienced to establish this great community in which we live.
I also thank those gallant Saints of the original Battalion and those of our modern Battalion who, through their great love, have given of themselves to bring us to where we are today. I send my love to all of you!
